A total of 25 medical staff members from four medical institutions in Baotou -- the city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- headed for the capital of Hohhot on May 11 for a COVID-19 prevention and control task, according to local media reports.
The medics were from Baotou Center Hospital, Inner Mongolia Baogang Hospital, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Baotou Medical College and Baotou Eighth Hospital, local officials said.

They consisted of seven doctors and 18 personnel responsible for sampling.
The task they are involved in involves diversion and disposal of international flights at Hohhot Baita International Airport and conducting flow adjustments, medical investigations and taking samples of inbound passengers.
Officials said the medics all received a 15-day training in accordance with the latest version of the COVID-19 diagnosis and treatment plan and the COVID-19 prevention and control plan.
Since March, Baotou city has sent dozens of medical and disease control personnel to support the virus prevention and control in Hohhot.
